A Fun Family

A few weeks ago, Stacey contacted me in regards to photographing her family. When she says family, she means FAMILY as in fourteen of them. She not only invited me to take pictures of her family, but to 'graze' as well. And a family that invites me to graze is always a fun family. Let me introduce to you 'four generations of women'. I love this picture: it's full of 'mama's'

Here are four out of five grandkids. The two boys are in college. I asked the girls about their school. My jaw almost dropped when I found out that 'M' (purple shirt) was only THIRTEEN. And 'S' she is seventeen. I was blown away. These young ladies are drop-dead gorgeous! I loved how the girls struck a 'model' pose while the guys went for the 'super-hero' pose. Don't worry Mike, I won't FB this picture to your college. ;)

The whole bunch. It was a special day for a few reasons: 1) it was dad's/grandpa's birthday! (Happy Birthday). 2) it was the day after Christmas, and 3) I hear there was a mean ping-pong tournament waiting to happen after I left.
This family was so photogenic as was everybody. I'm still in awe that 'M' is only 13 years old.

The gallery will be ready shortly. I promise.

Reilly and his Mama

I have been taking pictures of Reilly ever since he was an itty-bitty baby. It's hard to believe he is already 18 months old. His mama wanted to try something different with this photo session, so we planned to go to the beach. Unfortunately, the first appt was cancelled due to a sick little boy. The second appt was cancelled due to weather. Finally, our third attempt worked.
The weather here has been GORGEOUS. We've broken heat records for November. But this Sunday morning, it was cold and windy. Reilly was snug as a bug in the car and wasn't quite yet ready to let go of mama. I love it though, Marisa is such a wonderful mama. She is beautiful inside and out.
At first, Reilly wanted NOTHING to do with me. But then, he started showing me that cute little face of his I always want to pinch and squish and put in my pocket.
And although this session was about Reilly, I think mom deserves to be captured. Her red hair is natural and B E A U T I F U L, as is her smile.

My favorite picture of the day. And probably the last one too. He loved playing in the sand.

Oh that face is so squishable.
On a side note, if you are interested in pictures for Christmas, please call me ASAP. It's already December!

*Pink*

There is a new little princess in town and oh, is she a cutie. When I first went to Baby 'B's house, I was greeted by her big brother, "H'. He was a bundle of energy, full of smiles, and loved his Nana oh-so-very much.

While 'H' played with Nana, I got some touching moments with mom and dad. I love pictures where my subjects aren't looking at the camera. They seem more intimate, less posed. At 7 days old, look how tiny her feet are?

And did I mention how cute she is? If I could have just squished her up into my camera bag, I would have gladly done so. She just oozes cuteness.

Daniel and Abby - Congratulations on your beautiful little girl. I know you were a little frustrated during the photo shoot, but I got some wonderful shots. Promise!

TWINS

This mama is hinting for a sneak peek. So without making her wait until tomorrow.

"A" and "A" are just 3 1/2 weeks old. They came early. Who could blame them, they wanted to play with their big brother "K". This family is so cute and adorable I can't wait to show her the entire gallery.

Eleven

My oldest son turned 11 last month and I just now took his picture. But that's okay, because he gets more handsome every day. I cannot believe he is eleven. Isn't that like almost a teenager, like a tween? I'm not ready to say he's a tween. I'm just not. He's still my little boy. But isn't he handsome?

My trouble is he's so darn cute I can't pick a favorite. I'm a big fan of black and white and I think him in front of the fence is great. He is really into Transformers, so I wanted to include something he loves, so I can remember always. Because one day, my little boy is going to be all grown up (sad face).

I love him for so many reasons. He just melts my heart with that smile. I'm a little bias if you couldn't tell.

To many many more birthdays!

Cute as a Button

Slowly, I'm catching up on blogging. Again, his mama has already seen the gallery, but how could I not share this little angel? There is a (not-so) funny story behind his christening outfit. I won't go into the details, but all I can say is that his mama now has a picture of him in his outfit looking cute as a button.

Baby "R" just hit the big 6 month mark. Such a fun age where he is starting to get teeth, sit up, speak first words and so much, much more.

His little tongue cracked me up.

Riverview Family Fun

I am way behind on posting. I am so behind that this family has already seen their gallery. But I wanted to share with everyone a few of my favorite. This first family is wonderful, amazing, beautiful, and kind. I could go on and on, but instead, I will share some pictures.
I love that they are such a close-knit family.

I haven't seen 'D' in about two months and WOW, she hit a growth spurt, she is absolutely gorgeous and not a little girl anymore.

Being the only boy in the family can sometimes be tough. But 'Y' is a sweetheart. He doesn't like having his picture taken. I'm not sure why, because he has a fantastic smile. I love that he and his mama are so close.

When I saw this picture pop up, all I could saw was, 'WOW'. I love, love, love this picture. If it were me, I'd blow it up as large as possible and have it in my front entrance way.

Just a little fun.

Good luck Kari on your half marathon this coming weekend. I hope your back feels better so you can gloat.

A Family Celebration

These families gathered from around Florida to celebrate a 40th wedding anniversary. They gathered at M's house in the family room and posed on the family couch. There are four families, yet this couch unites them as one big family.

And keeping in the family tradition, here is little Mr. R. Who is starting his own family tradition with his 'big red chair'. I wonder how many wonderful memories he and his mama will have of their own.

.

The couch - a place we share smiles, exchange hugs, sometimes disagree, but always come together as a family.

I'm a Tad Behind in Blogging

I'm a little behind in blogging, but I couldn't not post these. 'Grandpa' traveled a long way to meet his first grandchild. I love, love, love, the picture of him reading to her. It doesn't get much better than that.

The Cutest 7 Year Old on the Planet

and he's all mine!!!

Seven years ago today you entered my life.

I hate that you are getting bigger and growing up, but I couldn't be happier with the person you are becoming. You fill my days with laughter, my life with smiles, and my heart with joy.

Just a few pictures from the past several years that I love.

You can make me smile at any given moment

Whenever I am sad, you know how to make me laugh.

I look into those eyes and I feel better.

How I wish you could stay 3 forever.

Happy Birthday Jakey!
Love Mommy

Little Men

I have been wanting to share this session for a while not. But I couldn't because they were Mother's Day presents. Are they not simply adorable? Here are a few from the session:

My absolute favorite.

Coming up next a gorgeous young lady with eyes to die for.

The Catch of the Day

The other day was a holiday which meant no school for the boys and no work for the hubby. We decided to take the boys fishing. For the first time. They were SO excited and talked non-stop in the car ride there. They each had their own personal superhero fishing pole - which definitely meant that they were going to catch something 'super'.
Here is what J caught: a weed. And he couldn't have been more proud.

J needed help reeling this one in. He had the biggest catch of the day: a red rag.

C had the first catch (and the smallest). Can you see it? Like I said, the boys couldn't have been happier with their 'catches'. I'm not sure what they would have done if they would have caught a fish (probably fall in the lake screaming). And me..... well this is what I caught:

I caught a great opportunity to capture my boys!

Someone Call the Police

Yes, you heard me, call the police because somehow, somewhere, my baby turned into a lego-building, cheeseburger-eating, video-game-playing, TEN year old. And what better way to celebrate than go to Disneyworld. If you haven't heard, Disney is celebrating this year. They are letting you in for free on your birthday.
Since we are annual pass holders, getting in for free isn't so big. But Disney has that covered too. You have your choice of either a $75 gift card to spend on whatever you want , get a one-day pass for later this year, or to get a fast pass to all of the rides. Guess what he chose?

I still can't believe he is TEN. Why it didn't seem so long ago he looked like this!!

Cody, I love you so much and I hope you have a wonderful birthday. You have brought so many smiles to my face. I can't imagine my life without you.

One More..............

Okay, one more little sneak. It's staged, but I think it's just too funny not to share.

A Sneak Peak

A quick sneak peak from this morning's session before this young lady heads back home. I'd like to say she came all the way from Ohio to see me, but the truth is she came to see her Aunt and Uncle - but it was still fun taking her picture. She's adorable.
I love this one

And just a little sneak of the whole family.
I hope you enjoyed the zoo today Miss 'H". Just a few more days for the rest of the gallery Shannon!
