I Almost Forgot..

Backyard Photography is officially THREE YEARS OLD!
May 2007 it all began.
Here is a picture of my very first paying customer. Little did they know they were my first. I was as nervous as they were. And I was oh so nervous when he barely spoke. I found out he did NOT want to be there, but his newlywed wife booked the session. I actually love that he isn't smiling in this picture - it makes it more intimate and real.

To commemorate my anniversary, YOU are in luck.

During the months of June and July, I will run a special:

Photo session including ALL photo's on disc: $600

60 minute photo session, unlimited amount of clothing changes.

Your choice of locations (within reason)

Limited spaces available.

Now what are you waiting for? Book that session!

May 8th

marked a big day in our family. It was our dogs very first birthday. May 8 fell on a Saturday and we were busy throughout the day with a soccer game, a football game and then I had a photo session scheduled. It wasn't until later in the evening we celebrated Barksley's FIRST birthday. So please forgive me as these were taken with my 'point and shoot'.
Barksley loves toys, especially squeeky ones. So we bought her this kitty that squeeked and she LOVED it. It lasted all of one day before she tore it up.
Barksley: you are a wonderful addition to our family. We love you and hope you have many more birthdays with us.

Love, your human family!

A First...

Birthday.
I've photographed this little guy three or four times already and let me tell you that he gets cuter and cuter each time. I can't belive how time flies, it feels like just yesterday he looked like this....

But now. Now he looks like this! Isn't he just the cutest? Oh my goodness how he has grown. His mama is a bigtime Florida Gator Fan. And I'm guessing that 'R' will be a Gator Fan too. His birthday was even 'gator' themed.

He is such a happy little guy oozing with cuteness. I wanted to squish those cheeks and take him home with me. I'm pretty sure his mama thinks the same. They share the same beautiful red hair. They have the same smile too. And they both share a bond. I don't really know how to explain this bond, but every time I photograph him, I capture this wonderful moment between the two of them. Neither are looking at me (which I love). But it's pictures like this one that melts my heart. As a mom myself, I cherish those 'special moments' with my boys. A soft touch, a warm embrace, a moment caught forever.

But then it was time. Time for the second best thing about parties (presents being the first). The cake! And boy oh boy it was as if he were a pro. He knew exacatly what he wanted. He was ready to dig in and have some of that sugar. He did a pretty good job too. Very little was left.

Happy Birthday 'R'. I know you won't remember this when you are older, but you had a wonderful time.

Missing in Action

I apalogize. I have been missing in action for good reason. I will have a few posts soon. But to tide you over, here are two familiar faces whom just celebrated their FIRST birthdays. And no, they are not twins.

First up, Miss A. I've known her since since before she was born. I can't believe that she is ONE year old already.

And Mr. 'R'. My goodness how cute is he?

I will return shortly for full posts. Promise.

Pink Camoflouge - continued

There's a new kid on the block and her name is Mya Nicole. Remember a few weeks back of a mama waiting on the arrival of not only her daughter, but her husband to return from overseas? Well one of them came home early: Can you guess which one? Isn't she absolutely gorgeous?

At 4 days old, she is not only my youngest client, but also my smallest. Weighing in
at just over 5 lbs.

She may be small, but the love she has been recieving is big. Like BIG-BIG. Both Grandmas were able to be here as well as an uncle that just came back from fighting overseas. I thought the traditional picture of mom and dad holding baby would be great for both grandmas, and I think I'm right.

Not only will April 4th be this little bunny's first Easter, it will also be the day she gets to meet her daddy! A great day for all.

Congratulations Brad and Cara on your beautiful little bunny rabbit. M-n-M's have always been my favorite, and I see it will be yours too!

Eleven

My oldest son turned 11 last month and I just now took his picture. But that's okay, because he gets more handsome every day. I cannot believe he is eleven. Isn't that like almost a teenager, like a tween? I'm not ready to say he's a tween. I'm just not. He's still my little boy. But isn't he handsome?

My trouble is he's so darn cute I can't pick a favorite. I'm a big fan of black and white and I think him in front of the fence is great. He is really into Transformers, so I wanted to include something he loves, so I can remember always. Because one day, my little boy is going to be all grown up (sad face).

I love him for so many reasons. He just melts my heart with that smile. I'm a little bias if you couldn't tell.

To many many more birthdays!

Pink Camoflouge

There must be something in the water. Another soon -to-be-mama. And she too is glowing with happiness. Her smile lit up the room and her tummy was glowing. She was wonderful, ready to pose for me any way I asked.

I love how she just exacerbates sexiness. She's working that belly and it works for her.

I know she can't wait until March for two arrivals: her husband and her daughter and hopefully in that order. Hubby is deployed right now, so I'm hoping he can see this sight. So Brad, I hope you enjoy - she has some more pictures just for you. Come home soon, you have two women who can't wait to see you.

To be continued............ in about 4-5 weeks. Stay tuned.
